HISTORY

Mercy park covers an area of approximately 7 acres and was donated to the City of Joplin in 2015 by Mercy Hospital.  After the 2011 tornado, Mercy Hospital rebuilt along I-44 and donated the former area to the City of Joplin for purposes to build a passive park.  The construction of this park was funded with CDBG funds and opened officially in the summer of 2017.  Mercy Park is adjacent to Cunningham Park. Mercy Park is also home to the Rotary Clubs of Joplin Sculpture Garden.
