Do I have to have a permit for a garage sale?
You are no longer required to obtain a permit for a garage sale, but you must abide by the following rules: Garage sales may occur 2 times a year, for not more than 3 days, and at least 60 days apart. All garage sale signs are required to be removed within one day following the sale and should not be in the public right of way, on power poles, etc. Signs may only be posted in the yard where the sale is being held.
