The investigation into the shooting that occurred at 2720 S. Iowa is still ongoing. We have determined that there was another person involved that shot the victim one time in the abdomen with an unknown handgun. The victim has been identified as David Erickson, a 34 year old male from Joplin. He remains in stable condition at the hospital.

It is unknown who the suspect is at this time. We are still asking for anyone with information about this incident to contact the Joplin Police Department with that information.
