On 07-15-2012 at 1310 hrs Officers were dispatched to the 800 Block of Connor reference to a shooting. Upon arrival Officers located a white male later identified as 23 year old Keith Ritchey. Richey was bleeding from the mouth and had an apparent gunshot wound. Ritchey was transported to Freeman Hospital where he is in critical condition at this time. Officers do have a suspect in custody pending charges.

UPDATE

The suspect in this case was identified as Kevin Cassell of Joplin Mo. Cassell has been charged with Felony Assault, Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Armed Criminal Action. Cassells bond was set at $50,000. Cassell is a neighbor to the victim.
