Structure Fire, 916 S Jackson, Joplin, Mo.
The Joplin Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 916 S Jackson at 0120 hours Friday morning. Fire crews arrived on the scene at 0126 hours to find heavy smoke coming from a two story, wood frame, vacant house. Crews had the fire under control at 0157 hours and stayed on scene until 0403. The house was a total loss.
There were no injuries during the incident. 4 Joplin Fire units and 16 Joplin Fire personnel responded, as well as JPD and METS.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
