The Joplin Fire Department responded to a mutual aid request from the Carl Junction FD. Time of call was 1:19 PM Thursday afternoon, 26 December. Fire crews arrived on the scene at 1:25 PM to assist with a structure fire. Crews found light smoke coming from an abandoned structure. They found a large ice maker in the center of a brick room with a small fire in it. The fire was extinguished. Crews remained on scene until 1:51 PM, Monday afternoon when command was turned over to the Carl Junction FD.
6 Joplin Fire units and 18 Joplin Fire personnel responded. There were no injuries on the scene.
