Structure Fire, 414 S Brownell Ave, Joplin, Mo.
The Joplin Fire Department responded to a reported Structure Fire at 414 S Brownell Ave at 10:19 AM Monday, December 16, 2013. Fire crews arrived on the scene at 10:23 AM to find moderate fire and smoke coming from a one-story single family dwelling, mainly from the living room. The house suffered extensive fire, smoke and water damage.
The fire was declared under control at 10:38 AM and out at 10:53 AM. Crews remained on scene until 12:07 PM.

No injuries were reported to either fire personnel or others in the area. 6 Joplin Fire units and 19 Joplin Fire personnel responded. JPD blocked Main Street during fire operations and METS stood by if needed. The Red Cross was called to assist with any needs of the occupants.
The cause of the fire was still under investigation at the time of this writing.
