Structure Fire, 3111 S Pearl, Joplin, Mo.
The Joplin Fire Department responded to a reported Structure fire at 3111 S Pearl Street at 5:08 AM Sunday. November 17, 2013. Fire crews arrived on the scene at 5:13 AM to find a fully involved shed on fire in the backyard of the address. A vehicle that was parked 3 feet from the north side of the shed was also burned. Fire crews had to avoid a downed electric line in the alley in order to extinguish both the shed and the vehicle.
The fire was declared under control at 5:22 AM and the fire was declared out at 5:30 AM. Crews stayed on scene until 6:45 AM. Both the shed and vehicle were a total loss.
6 fire vehicles and 17 firefighters responded to the scene, along with JPD. There were no injuries at the scene.
The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
