FBI agents arrested Paul A. Moses, age 64 this morning on a charge of Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution in San Diego, CA. This arrest stems from a 1984 homicide case in which Moses is suspected of murdering Frances Ramsey, age 61, of 2337 S Main. The body of Ramsey was located in her residence at around 10:20 AM on August 11, 1984. The Jasper County Prosecutors Office issued a warrant for Moses not long after the investigation was initiated.

Moses remained at large when the FBI issued the UFAP warrant in an effort to help locate and prosecute him for the 1984 murder.

The Joplin Police Department has been working with the FBI recently to try and locate the suspect. The result of recent efforts led to Moses’ arrest this morning. Moses will be awaiting extradition to Missouri to face prosecution in the 29 year old homicide case.
