The Joplin Police Department wants to notify all motorists of traffic pattern change at 50th and Hearnes over night. This is to help complete the round-about that is being constructed for the new Mercy Hospital and the re-opening of 50th Street.

For about the next two weeks northbound traffic will be shifted over to the southbound lanes, as construction crews with Emery Sapp and Sons continue with the road improvements in the area. This change will occur during the night and in the morning the traffic pattern will have been changed before people commute to work.

Corporal Dan Haskins wants to remind all drivers to stay alert in this area with the extra congestion and to use caution as there are construction vehicles entering this area. We are hopeful that in the next two weeks 50th Street will be re-opened.
