Structure Fire, 1022 S Monroe, Joplin, Mo.
The Joplin Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire at 1022 S Monroe. Time of call was 1512 hours on Sunday afternoon, 18 August. Fire crews arrived on the scene at 1518 hours to find an unattached garage with heavy smoke and flame showing. Fire crews opened the side door to the garage as well as the overhead door and extinguished the fire. Crews remained on scene until 1613 Sunday afternoon.
6 Joplin Fire units and 18 Joplin Fire personnel responded, along with the JPD, and METS. There were no injuries on the scene. Ownership information was unavailable at the time of the report.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
