Since July 3, 2013, the Joplin Police Department has received approximately 54 calls where damage has been done to windows of vehicles, businesses and residences by someone shooting a BB Pellet through the window. Over 80% of these damages were to vehicle windows and approximately 20% of the damages were to residences and businesses. Most of the damages were in a concentrated area in the northwest part of Joplin, however, some damages were reported in other parts of the city as well.

Officers were able to develop some suspect information from reports that were made by victims and over the weekend, officers were able to contact these subjects and several arrests have been made. Three adults have been arrested and charged with 1st Degree Property Damage. Two juveniles have also been taken into custody.

The adults that were arrested and charged include Tanner Woody, 17 year old male from Joplin, Bradley Ferguson, 18 year old male from Joplin, and Mason Zuraw, 19 year old male from Joplin.

The investigation into these crimes continues and if there are more people charged, or if there are any additional charges, we will update this release.
