Structure Fire, 1301 S New Hampshire Ave, Joplin, Mo.
The Joplin Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 1301 S New Hampshire Ave. Time of call was 1030 hours on Tuesday morning, 18 June. Fire crews arrived on the scene at 1035 hours to find a single story wood framed house with heavy smoke and flame showing. Crews extinguished the fire in the laundry room area and then ventilated the house with a fan. Crews remained on scene until 1239 hours.
6 Joplin Fire units and 17 Joplin Fire personnel responded, along with the JPD, and METS. There were no injuries on the scene. The home is owned by Mr. Beau Norman and rented by Mr. Dalton Morris. Mr. Morris and two other occupants were able to safely exit the burning home before fire units arrived.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
