Structure Fire, 414 N Mineral, Joplin, Mo.
The Joplin Fire Department responded to 414 N Mineral Ave. Time of call was 2225 hours Sunday evening, 28 April. Fire crews arrived on the scene at 2231 hours to answer a medical call with the caller unable to speak. Crews opened the front door of the house to find smoke. They called for the patient, but heard no response. Crews found a second entrance, found the seat of the fire and extinguished it. They then search the house and found the patient and removed her to the outside of the structure.

The cause of the fire and smoke was food left on the stove.
