Smoldering Materials, 1301 W 2nd, Joplin, Mo.
The Joplin Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at the Joplin Police Radio Shop, 1301 W 2nd. Time of call was 1417 hours Tuesday afternoon, 19 March. Fire crews arrived on the scene at 1419 hours to find light smoke coming from the office. Crews extinguished some smoldering material by a workbench.
5 Joplin Fire units and 17 Joplin Fire personnel responded, along with the JPD, and METS. No one was injured on the scene. Crews remained on scene until 1535 hours.
The cause of the fire was undetermined.
