Structure Fire, 539 N Pearl, Joplin, Mo.
The Joplin Fire Department responded to a reported Structure fire at 539 N Pearl at 1613 hours Wednesday evening, 26 December. Fire crews arrived on the scene at 1613 hours to find smoke coming from the second floor of a two story residential structure. The fire was extinguished and crews remained on scene until 1816. Fire and smoke damage was severe in nature and the house is currently uninhabitable. The home is owned by Judy Carman and was occupied by Shannon Jagers.
5 Joplin Fire units and 18 Joplin Fire personnel responded, along with JPD and METS
The cause of the fire was electrical arcing in the attic.
