SUBJECT:      Structure Fire 915 S Jefferson and 917 S Jefferson

On Monday, 15 July 2019, at 5:42 PM the Joplin Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire at 915 S Jefferson Ave. The initial report was a shed fire that was spreading to two houses – 915 S Jefferson and 917 S Jefferson. The first fire crew arrived on scene at 5:47 PM. Crews extinguished the fire at the shed and then moved to extinguish fires are both structures. Fire crews remained on scene until 9:00 PM.

There were no injuries to firefighting crews or civilians.

The Joplin Fire Department responded with 6 units and 17 personnel and was assisted by the Joplin Police Department and METS Ambulance Service.

The cause of fire was ruled accidental in nature.
