[ARCHIVED] FDA Investigating Multistate Outbreak of E. coli O157:H7 Infections Likely Linked to Romaine Lettuce

A statement from DHSS in regards to the FDA investigating a multistate outbreak of E. coli O157: H7 infections likely linked to romaine lettuce:

"We have been receiving inquiries about this outbreak. This is what we know currently. There are no illnesses identified in Missouri at this time. There is no recall related to lettuce at this time but the public message from FDA and CDC is the recommendation that consumers discard all romaine lettuce and don’t consume products containing romaine lettuce. This is not the same strain of E. coli connected to the outbreak earlier this year but does appear to be the same as an outbreak from the fall of 2017."

Health inspectors are contacting restaurants.  As more information becomes available we will update here.
