[ARCHIVED] Structure Fire - Joplin Sports Complex

SUBJECT:      Structure Fire 3301 W 1st Street.

On Saturday, 06 October 2018, at 11:26 PM the Joplin Fire Department responded to a report of an unknown type of structure fire at the City of Joplin Sports Complex. The first crew arrived on scene at 11:34 PM to find a small shed on fire. Crews also found a small fire in a restroom nearby as well.  Crews extinguished the fire and overhauled the scene. Fire crews remained on scene until 1:04 AM.

There were no injuries to firefighting crews or civilians.

The Joplin Fire Department responded with 6 units and 15 personnel and was assisted by the Joplin Police Department and METS Ambulance Service.

The cause of fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshal and JPD.
