[ARCHIVED] Potential of Heavy Rainfall over next Several Days

This is a developing situation, so please stay tuned for updates.  Of particular concern is the risk of Accumulating Freezing Rain - Current projections show Jasper County may get as much as  0.12" of ice.  Here's a summary from the NWS:


Potential of Heavy Rainfall over Several Days this Coming Week 

• Total Rainfall Could Range from 3 to 6 Inches through Saturday • Significant Rises on Area Streams and Rivers Likely

 • Potential for Flooding Will Be Closely Monitored 

• Risk of Accumulating Freezing Rain Tuesday Night - Wednesday Night 

• Amounts and location of freezing rain will have to be closely monitored. No significant changes at this time but forecast details will be updated as event approaches. Uncertainty focused on location and amounts of rainfall and freezing rain. This could shift with future forecast.
