SUBJECT:      Structure Fire at 2202 S Connor

           

  • CONTACT:    Keith Stammer, Joplin Fire Department

The Joplin Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 2202 S Connor Ave, on Wednesday, 31 May, at 12:59 PM. The first crew arrived at 1:06 PM. On arrival fire personnel found a two-story residential structure with smoke coming out of the eaves. The fire originated in the west wall of a bathroom on the first floor, near a breaker box. Crews extinguished the fire and remained on scene until 5:02 PM.

  • There were no injuries to civilians or firefighting crews. Ownership information is not available now.
  • The Fire Department responded with 6 apparatus and 20 personnel and was assisted by the Joplin Police Department and METS Ambulance Service. The American Red Cross assisted the residents.
  • The fire was investigated by the Fire Marshal and found to be electrical in nature.
