SUBJECT:      Structure Fire at 4225 S Joplin Ave

           

  • CONTACT:    Keith Stammer, Joplin Fire Department

The Joplin Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 4225 S Joplin Ave, on Tuesday, 22 May, at 10:31 AM. The first crew arrived at 10:35 AM. On arrival fire personnel found a fully involved single family structure with flame and smoke showing.  Crews extinguished the fire and remained on scene until 1:15 PM.

  • There were no injuries to civilians or firefighting crews. Ownership information is not available at this time.
  • The Fire Department responded with 5 apparatus and 12 personnel and was assisted by the Joplin Police Department and METS Ambulance Service.
  • The fire was investigated by the Fire Marshal and found to be electrical in nature.
