203 PM CDT Wed May 17 2017

...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a High
Wind Warning, which is in effect until 7 PM CDT this evening. TheWind Advisory is no longer in effect.

* TIMING...Through early evening.

* WINDS...Sustained south winds of 30 to 40 MPH and wind gusts of
  45 to 55 MPH, with a few areas gusting to 60 MPH. The strongest  winds will likely occur from now through 5 PM.

* IMPACTS...These strong southerly winds today will make driving
  difficult, especially on east to west roadways and drivers of   high profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected
or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gustsof 58 mph or more can lead to property damage.
