February 3, 2017

SUBJECT: Structure Fire at 2415 E. Natalie Ct.

CONTACT: James Furgerson, Fire Chief, Joplin Fire Department

The Joplin Fire Department is currently on the scene of a structure fire at 2415 E. Natalie Ct. The time of call was 1:58 PM and the fire was brought under control at 2:45 PM. The first arriving crews arrived to find a single story wood frame structure with heavy fire and smoke coming from the attic area. Crews had to go defensive and are currently hitting hot spots and overhauling to ensure the fire is out. The home did sustain severe damage.

There were no injuries to civilians or fire fighters and no one was home at the time of the fire.

The fire department response included 6 apparatus and 19 personnel.

Crews were assisted by Webb City Fire Department, Joplin Police Department and METS Ambulance Service.

The fire will be investigated by the Joplin Fire Department once the fire is completely extinguished. Once we have more details an updated press release will be sent out.
