[ARCHIVED] NWS - Weather Update for Next Week, Beginning 18 July

By Monday a large summertime high pressure system will become
centered over the nation`s mid-section. This is just in time for
what is climatologically the hottest week of the year. We fully
anticipate having to post Heat Advisory`s next work week as
afternoon temperatures warm into the low to mid 90s on a daily
basis. Heat indices will range from 100 to 110 degrees.

Little to no precipitation chances are forecasted through next
work week. There are no indications that the summertime high will
break down anytime soon. So we could remain very hot heading into
the following weekend.

The dog days of summer are coming next week, along with an
extended period of dry weather.
