On Wednesday, October 3, 2012, Joplin Avenue between 3rd Street and 4th Street will be closed to thru traffic because of repairs needed to the street from recent utility cuts. This closure will last from 8:30am Wednesday morning and open back up to traffic on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 5:00pm. Detour route will be available for traffic to get around the closure.

On Wednesday, October 3, 2012, 20th Street between New Hampshire Avenue and Rhode Island Avenue will have the two westbound lanes closed and all traffic will be merged in two way traffic on the two eastbound lanes. This closure will last from 8:30am through Friday, October 5, 2012. This closure is needed to install an 8” fire line.

Drivers are urged to use caution in these areas and may need to utilize alternate routes during this period.
