City Road Closures

[ARCHIVED] Some Parking on Main Street closed...

Starting Friday, September 21, 2012, the outside southbound lane of Main Street from 4th Street to 5th Street, in front of the U.S. Bank building, will be closed for the next two weeks during working hours and reopen at night. This closure was requested by Dalton-Killinger Construction and any questions pertaining to the closure should be directed to Scott at 624-0651.

On Saturday, September 22, 2012, 24th and 23rd Streets between Joplin Avenue and Wall Avenue will be closed to thru traffic from 7 am to 4 pm. Street closure is for the Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity Volunteer Work Day. If there are any questions pertaining to this closure please contact 417-782-6533.

On Monday, September 24, 2012, the sidewalk between Wall Avenue and Joplin Avenue on the south side of 6th Street will be closed for the next 3 weeks for the roof repair of the Empire Electric Building located at the corner of Joplin Avenue and 6th Street. This request came from Empire Electric and all pedestrian traffic should be rerouted to the sidewalk on the north side of 6th Street.
Drivers are urged to use caution in these areas and might need to utilize alternate routes during this period.
