City Road Closures

On Saturday, September 8th, 20th Streets outer westbound lane will be closed from Davis Boulevard to Schifferdecker Avenue. On Schifferdecker Avenue from 20th Street to 7th Street there will be a lane reduction on the northbound lane. From 7th Street to 1st Street on Schifferdecker Avenue the southbound lane will be closed as well as the side streets connecting to Schifferdecker Avenue. This closure is for the MS Bike Ride which is sponsored by National Multiple Sclerosis Society Mid America Chapter and the closure will last from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

On Saturday, September 8th, Main Street will be closed from 7th to 2nd from 6:00 am to 10:00 am. 4th and 2nd Streets will remain open except for turn lanes onto Main Street, and all other connector streets to Main Street will be closed during the event. The closure is for the 911 Heroes Run National 5K.

On Sunday, September 9th, from 7th Street to 1st Street on Schifferdecker Avenue the southbound lane will be closed as well as the side streets connecting to Schifferdecker Avenue. From 7th Street to 26th Street there will be a lane reduction on the southbound lane. From Schifferdecker Avenue to Maiden Lane on 26th Street the eastbound lane will be closed as well as any streets connecting to 26th Street. From Maiden Lane to Main Street on 26th Street the outer eastbound lane will be closed. Main Streets east northbound lane from 26th Street to 20th Street will be closed. 20th Streets south eastbound lane from Main Street to Davis Boulevard will be closed to vehicular traffic. This closure is for the MS Bike Ride which is sponsored by National Multiple Sclerosis Society Mid America Chapter and the closure will last from 5:00 am to 9:00 am.

On Sunday, September 9th, Pearl Street between 5th Street and 6th Street will be closed for “Rally Day”. This event is being held by First Presbyterian Church and is expected to last from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

On Monday, September 10th, 20th Street west of Range Line Road, there will be lane closures needed to make preparations for utility hookups. The lane closures are expected to last from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and are subject to change. The lane closures will be one lane at a time and the public is urged to watch for traffic changes in this area.

Drivers are urged to use caution in these areas and might need to utilize alternate routes during this period.
