Structure Fire, 312 N McCoy, Joplin, Mo.
The Joplin Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 312 N McCoy, at 1938 hours Monday evening. Fire crews arrived on scene to find a one story wood framed house with heavy smoke coming from the attic. Firefighters put out the fire and declared it under control at 2023 hours. The house suffered extensive fire, smoke and water damage.
Units are still on scene at the time of this writing.
A total of 5 trucks and 20 Firefighters worked the scene. JPD and METS aided. No one was injured at the scene.
Ownership and occupancy information is unavailable at this time.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
