Structure Fire, 3319 N Range Line, Joplin, Mo.
The Joplin Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 3319 N Range Line, at 0428 hours Friday morning. Fire crews arrived on the scene to find a two story 4-Plex apartment building with smoke showing in the upstairs south apartment. Firefighters moved to extinguish the fire but it was out upon entry to the apartment. A resident had extinguished the fire with water from a sink.
The last unit cleared the scene at 0624 hours Friday morning.
Occupancy names were not available at the time of this report.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation and has been turned over to the Joplin PD.
