Structure Fire, 1626 S Connor, Joplin, MO.
The Joplin Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 1626 S Connor at 2:53 AM. Tuesday, 18 August, 2015. Fire crews arrived on the scene to find a detached garage fully involved with the roof already burned off and the south wall fallen in. Crews pulled down the east and west walls to finish extinguishing the fire. Additionally, three cars were damaged by radiant heat as was as a garage across the alley.
Crews remained on scene until 4:48 AM. The garage is owned by Floyd Church of Joplin.
No injuries were reported to either fire personnel or others in the area. 6 Joplin Fire units and 12 Joplin Fire personnel responded as well as JPD and METS.
The cause of the fire is remains under investigation.
