Structure Fire, 815 ½ S Pennsylvania, Joplin, MO.
The Joplin Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 815 ½ S Pennsylvania at 10:59 PM Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Fire crews arrived on the scene to find a vacant, one story ordinary construction dwelling with heavy smoke and fire coming from all sides of the house. Crews attacked the fire from two sides of the house, then entered it to finish extinguishing the fire.
The fire was declared under control at 11:25 PM and crews remained on scene until 1:00 AM.
Ownership information is unavailable at this time. The house was vacant at the time of the fire.
No injuries were reported to either fire personnel or others in the area. 7 Joplin Fire units and 17 Joplin Fire personnel responded as well as JPD and METS.
The cause of the fire is listed as arson. For additional information, please contact the JPD.
