Set up the tee and get to swinging, it’s time for the Youth T-ball League. Starting 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, the Joplin Parks and Recreation Department will tee off the youth t-ball league at Gene Bassman Softball Complex at the Joplin Athletic Complex.
Registration is open through Monday, May 4 for this summer league. Fees for the program are $39 per player, with each player receiving a wicking cool mesh jersey, award, hat, and an end of the season pool party located at Schifferdecker pool.
T-ball is open to kids ages five and six. Players will play six games for the season. The last two games of the season, a pitching machine will be used, but a tee will still be available.
