SUBJECT: Structure Fire at 1401 E 33rd Lot 7

The Joplin Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 1401 E 33rd St. Lot 7 at 752 this morning. Fire crews arrived on scene at 757 to find a mobile home with heavy smoke and fire throughout the structure. Fire was under control at 811 and the structure sustained moderate damage as a result of the fire. The occupants Glen and Mary Helwig were not at home at the time of the fire. The owner of the mobile home is Bill Rust.
There were no injuries to firefighting crews.

The fire department responded to the structure fire with 6 apparatus and 19 personnel.

At this time the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Joplin Fire Marshal.
