Structure Fire, 1906 S Missouri, Joplin, Mo.
The Joplin Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 1906 S Missouri at 2254 hours Wednesday night. Fire crews arrived on the scene to find light smoke showing, the front door wide open and flames on the floor of a middle room. Firefighters extinguished the fire and searched the building but found no one inside. Neighbors reported the house had been occupied off and on by vagrants.
The last unit cleared the scene at 0017 hours Thursday morning.
Home ownership was not available at the time of this report.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
