Structure Fire, 1408 E Central, Joplin, Mo.
The Joplin Fire Department responded at 11:49 PM on Saturday, 10 January, to a report of a structure fire at 1408 E Central, Joplin. Upon arrival crews found light smoke showing from the attic. Crews made entry and found the fire to be in the attic in the hallway of the house. They pulled the ceiling and extinguished the fire. Crews remained on scene until 1:44 AM.
The house suffered fire and water damage. It is owned by Jessielene Harbin.
6 Fire units and 15 firefighters responded to the scene, as well as JPD, and METS. No one was injured on the scene.
The fire was ruled accidental. The cause was electrical in the hallway ceiling.
