Structure Fire, 1905 S Pearl, Joplin, MO.
The Joplin Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 1905 S Pearl, Tuesday, 03 June, 2014 at 1:55 AM. Fire crews arrived on the scene at 2:01 AM to find a single story wood frame structure with heavy fire coming from the back half of the structure. Crews quickly extinguished the fire, entering the front door and looking for hot spots in the ceiling and walls. There was major damage to structure due to fire, heat, water and smoke.
The fire was declared under control out at 2:41 AM. Crews remained on scene until 3:51 AM.
No injuries were reported to either fire personnel or others in the area. 5 Joplin Fire units and 12 Joplin Fire personnel responded, as well as JPD and METS. The house was unoccupied at the time of the fire. The structure is owned by Everette Herron.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
