Spring/Summer Hours for Tool Lending Library announced
The City of Joplin announces that the Tool Lending Library is now open for the spring and summer season. Hours for this service are from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays, and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursdays.

The Tool Lending Library is located at 120 North Porter, on the corner of A Street and Porter Avenue, just north of the Public Works Center.

“The Tool Lending Library offer a variety of small tools, mowers, and other yard equipment to those Joplin residents who qualify for the program,” said Connie Chrisman, Community Development. Guidelines for the program include:

• Borrower must be at least 18 years of age.
• Tools cannot be used to make an income.
• Borrower needs to be an income-qualified resident of Joplin.
• Borrowers cannot be employed by the City of Joplin.
