Persons wishing to address the City Council regarding an item on the agenda should complete a Request to Address Council and give it to the City Clerk prior to the start of the meeting. When your name is called, approach the podium, and state your name clearly for the record. If your request pertains to a Public Hearing item, you do not need to submit a request. You will have five (5) minutes to speak.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2023-112

AN ORDINANCE    approving an agreement with Olsson, Inc for professional engineering services in the not to exceed amount of Two Million Five Hundred Thirty-Six Thousand Nine Hundred and 00/100 Dollars ($2,536,900.00) for the ARPA Stormwater Grant project; and authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute the same by and on behalf of the City of Joplin; and containing an emergency clause.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2023-113

AN ORDINANCE    approving an agreement with Allgeier, Martin and Associates, Inc. for professional engineering services in the not to exceed amount of Seven Hundred Eighty-Eight Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($788,000.00) for the ARPA Wastewater Grant Project; and authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute the same by and on behalf of the City of Joplin; and containing an emergency clause.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2023-128

AN ORDINANCE approving the City of Joplin to enter into a Governor’s Transportation Cost Share Agreement with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission; authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute the same by and on behalf of the City of Joplin; and containing an emergency clause.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2023-129

AN ORDINANCE    authorizing the City of Joplin to enter into an agreement with Rosetta Construction, Inc., in the amount of Three Million One Hundred Seventy-Eight Thousand Two Hundred and Twenty-Two and 50/100 Dollars ($3,178,222.50) for the Baker’s Branch East Wastewater Extension project; authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute the same by and on behalf of the City of Joplin; and containing an emergency clause.

AN ORDINANCE    amending the Annual Budget of the City of Joplin for the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 as adopted by Ordinance 2022-161 on October 17, 2022, to adjust appropriations and containing an emergency clause.

COUNCIL BILL NO.2023-009

AN ORDINANCE authorizing the City of Joplin, Missouri, to enter into a Right of Access and Construction Agreement (MOU) with East Town Dreams District for the purpose of  building a park and playground for children – “HOPE PARK” – on the City’s Joe Becker Stadium Clubhouse North Lot; establishing responsibilities for the East Town Dreams District and the City relating to the construction of improvements and maintenance of HOPE PARK; and, authorizing the City Manager to execute said Agreement (MOU) by and on behalf of the City of Joplin.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2023-127

AN ORDINANCE authorizing the City of Joplin, Missouri, to enter into an Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement with the Joplin Special Roads District (JSRD), for the purpose of street construction improvements associated with the 20th Street Widening from Schifferdecker Avenue to Country Club Drive Project; authorizing the City Manager to execute the same by and on behalf of the City of Joplin.

 AN ORDINANCE approving an Agreement and Work Authorization with Olsson in the not to exceed amount of Eight Hundred Sixty-Three Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty-One and 00/100 dollars ($863,731.00) for professional engineering services for the Main Street Streetscape 8th to 15th Street project and authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute the same by and on behalf of the City of Joplin.

This meeting, record, and vote to be closed. Council shall adjourn at the end of the session.
