RESOLUTION NO. 2023-002

A RESOLUTION authorizing the filing of a Third Substantial Amendment to the Program Year 2019 One Year Action Plan with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as required for use of the City of Joplin’s Community Development Block Grant Program (Entitlement) and the Joplin Consortium HOME Investment Partnership Program for fiscal year 2019; and authorizing the City Manager to execute said Plan for and on behalf of the City of Joplin.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2023-105

AN ORDINANCE approving a construction agreement with Jeff Asbell Excavating & Trucking, Inc. in the amount of One Million, Four Thousand, Eight Hundred Eighty-two and 53/100 Dollars ($1,004,882.53) for the East Town Infrastructure – Sanitary Sewer, Phase 2 project, authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute the same by and on behalf of the City of Joplin; amending the Annual Budget of the City of Joplin for the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 as adopted by Ordinance 2022-161 on October 17, 2022; and, containing an emergency clause;

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2023-602

AN ORDINANCE approving a Contract for grant money by and between the City of Joplin, Missouri and the Missouri Department of Transportation dealing generally with the Full Time DWI Unit, Hazardous Moving Violations Enforcement, and DWI Enforcement in the amount of One Hundred Twenty-Four Thousand, and Twenty Dollars ($124,020.00); authorizing the City Manager to execute the same by and on behalf of the City of Joplin, Missouri; and containing an emergency clause.

AN ORDINANCE approving a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) by and between the City of Joplin and the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce to participate in a partnership with the Joplin Regional Alliance for Health Care and Health Science and approving a contribution of $80,000.00 for the purpose of pursuing an economic development plan.

This meeting, record, and vote to be closed. Council shall adjourn at the end of the session.
