Persons wishing to address the City Council regarding an item on the agenda should complete a Request to Address Council and give it to the City Clerk prior to the start of the meeting. When your name is called, approach the podium, and state your name clearly for the record. If your request pertains to a Public Hearing item, you do not need to submit a request. AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 2022-274, passed by the Council of the City of  Joplin, Missouri, August 1, 2022, by removing from District M-2 (Heavy Industrial) and including in District R-3 (Apartment House) property as described below and located approximately 200 feet East of the intersection of S. Maiden Ln. and W. 2nd St, South of W. 2nd St and North of W 4th St.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2023-108

AN ORDINANCE authorizing the acceptance of a supplemental agreement by and between the City of Joplin and Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc., in the amount of ninety-five thousand six hundred thirty-eight and 27/100 dollars ($95,638.27) for Engineering Design Services for the Snow Removal Equipment (SRE) storage portion of the Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Building at the Joplin Regional Airport; amending the Annual Budget of the City of Joplin for the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 as adopted by Ordinance 2022-161 on October 17, 2022; and, containing an emergency clause.

AN ORDINANCE reaffirming the gross receipts tax to be imposed upon gas corporations conducting business within the City and matters relating thereto and containing an emergency clause.

AN ORDINANCE    amending the Annual Budget of the City of Joplin for the Fiscal Year 2021-2022 as adopted by Ordinance 2021-149 on October 18, 2021, to adjust appropriations and containing an emergency clause.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2023-004

AN ORDINANCE approving a plan for an industrial development project consisting of the acquisition, construction, and improvement of warehouse facilities; authorizing the City of Joplin, Missouri to issue its taxable industrial development revenue bonds in a principal amount not to exceed $20,200,000 to finance the costs of the first phase of such project; authorizing and approving certain documents; and authorizing certain other actions in connection with the issuance of the bonds.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2023-258

AN ORDINANCE establishing grades and accepting the Final Plat of Par Lane 2nd Addition located at property West of S Twin Hills Dr and South of W Par Ln, in the City of Joplin, Jasper County, Missouri.

AN ORDINANCE authorizing the purchase of a health vehicle for mobile medical services from TriVan Truck Body, LLC, a Washington Limited Liability Company, for the amount of One Hundred Thirty-Four Thousand Thirteen and 00/100 Dollars ($134,013.00); authorizing the City Manager to execute the same by and on behalf of the City of Joplin, Missouri; amending the Annual Budget of the City of Joplin for the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 as adopted by Ordinance 2022-161 on October 17, 2022; and, containing a contingency clause.

AN ORDINANCE authorizing the City of Joplin, Missouri, to enter into an Agreement with Conventions, Sports & Leisure International, LLC, a Delaware Limited Liability Company, for the purpose of conducting a Tourism Venue Needs Assessment of the Joplin tourism market for the not to exceed price of One-Hundred and Eleven Thousand Six Hundred and Eight and 00/100 Dollars ($111,608.00); amending the Annual Budget of the City of Joplin for the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 as adopted by Ordinance 2022-161 on October 17, 2022; authorizing the City Manager to execute the same by and on behalf of the City of Joplin; and, setting a date when this Ordinance shall become effective.
