Joe Becker Stadium

Joe Becker Stadium
Joe Becker Stadium was originally built in 1913. The original tenants were the Joplin Minors, a minor league affiliate of the New York Yankees where Whitey Herzog and Mickey Mantle played. Joe Becker Stadium has also hosted teams from Missouri Southern State University, the Joplin Outlaws collegiate summer team, and several other college and high school teams over the years.

In September of 2014 Joe Becker Stadium took on a $4.7 million reconstruction by Hanson Sports, Corner Greer Architects, and Crossland Construction. With the reconstruction, Joe Becker Stadium saw the installation of new lighting and stadium-style seating for spectators, suites, renovation of restrooms, locker rooms, and team dugouts, plus the addition of concession stands, merchandise sales space, and modern ticket booths. The stadium recently underwent a turf installation project as the infield now features SprintTurf playing surface.

Please note, dogs are not allowed inside the stadium.
