The Dog Park is a fenced facility for dogs to go off-leash to run, play, socialize, and exercise. There are separate areas for small and large dogs. The park features concrete pathways, a pavilion, benches, agility and play equipment for the dogs. The park is open from 7:00am to 11:00pm. All members will receive a key code to gain entrance. The park is located in Parr Hill Park
An annual membership fee to the park helps provide necessary revenue for ongoing expenses and allow for future upgrades to the Dog Park. A membership based park promotes safety by tracking the "members" and ensuring that all dogs have up-to-date vaccinations from a licensed veterinarian before being admitted.
A membership is available from the Joplin Parks & Recreation Office located at 3301 W. 1st
Street. Information needed to register is a current license showing animal is registered, copy of vaccination records from a licensed veterinarian, and paperwork showing the dog is spayed or neutered.
Annual Membership Fee:
Annual fee is $10 per year + $5 per additional dog.
Service dogs are free, but the owner needs to provide proof the animal is a service dog.
