STI (Sexually Transmitted Infections) Testing and Treatment

Sexually Transmitted Infection Testing and Treatment
The STI program identifies cases of sexually transmitted infections. We will assure that all cases have been treated correctly, plus educate the clients on risk factors and prevention methods to break the chain of STIs. Confidential testing for STIs is available by appointment only. Please call the Joplin Health Department at (417) 623-6122 to make an appointment.

The STI clinic provides no-cost, confidential testing for individuals with qualifying risk factors. The following sexually transmitted infections are covered: gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, and HIV.

AIDS Project of the Ozarks (APO) refers clients to CHOICES for rapid HIV and Hepatitis C testing. CHOICES can be contacted at (417) 624-8030. APO can be contacted by calling (417) 624-4070.
