Athletic Complex
Phase I
As a multi-phased project, phase I of the complex features various amenities including recreational and competitive opportunities for baseball, soccer, and tennis enthusiasts. Each area offers concessions and public restrooms with a centrally located play area for younger children. The complex also houses the Joplin Parks and Recreation offices.

Baseball
The baseball field was designed by utilizing the dimensions of St. Louis’ Busch Memorial Stadium to reflect baseball’s intergenerational appeal. By using these dimensions, the city is able to offer use of this facility to both high school and collegiate level teams for their league and tournament play. With an attached press box, convenient ADA seating, and nearby concessions, this facility offers fans, young and old, a great seat to enjoy one of America’s national pastimes. The field will be available seven days a week.

Soccer
The City of Joplin’s soccer complex offers all ages a great place to play one of the country’s fastest growing sports. The four lit fields include two collegiate size fields that can be divided to make smaller fields for younger players, as well as a junior size field and a warm-up field. These numerous variations provide the flexibility to accommodate several teams at various skill levels at the same time. Fields will be available seven days per week.

Tennis
Awarded the 2008 USTA Missouri Valley / Missouri Facility of the Year the tennis complex gives tennis players 10 lit courts and enough court space to hold a multi-level tournament or host numerous recreational matches alongside the other courts. The grandstand court is designed to highlight this match while allowing a great view for spectators interested in the final rounds of competitive play.

Park Availability
From March to October, courts will be open 8:00 am to 9:00 pm, seven days a week. Off-season hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, seven days a week. Additionally, through the use of membership (proximity) cards, the facility
will be available before and after these times, but within the general park hours of 7:00 am to 11:00 pm.

Fees
Fees for use of the soccer complex and baseball field vary depending on the team’s age level and whether the
scheduled activity is a game or a practice.

Several options are available for tennis players including a $5 hourly fee for court use that can be divided between the number of players or a pass card may be purchased for unlimited use. Annual pass cards are available in various divisions and prices. The family pass includes tennis play for all family members for $150 annually. The individual pass provides a person unlimited access for a year for $75. The youth pass, for individuals who are 17 and under, allows for unlimited tennis play for $37.50 annually. Reservations of courts are encouraged, although walk-ins are allowed, as long as a court is available.
