Our Mission
The Woman, Infant, and Children Services Division of the Joplin City Health Department provides supplemental foods and nutrition education / breastfeeding support to women, infants, and children up to age 5 with a medical or nutritional risk, in order to promote healthy people in our community.

Our Vision
The department, as a whole, can spot new and reemerging diseases, locate populations of interest or populations at risk through surveillance and outreach, and then deliver quality products and services to meet community needs and expectations. 

Who we Serve
Services are provided to women who are breastfeeding, prenatal, or postpartum up to 6 months as well as infants and children up to age 5 with a medical or nutritional risk living in the state of Missouri and connecting states if they work or receive medical care in Joplin.
