Prompted by the increasing concerns and questions regarding West Nile Virus, the Health Department of the City of Joplin is pleased to be able to provide the following information from the State of Missouri website. This Community Health Status Report 2005 has been compiled by the Jasper and Newton Counties Community Health Collaborative (CHC). The CHC is a local collaborative of several organizations working in the areas of Jasper and Newton Counties (including the City of Joplin) on public health issues. This report is an effort to identify those issues/factors present in the two-county area capable of affecting the overall wellness of the area. The CHC and its member agencies will be utilizing the information found in this report for planning future programs and initiatives.
