Children’s Musician Magic Mama to visit Joplin Public Library
July 19, 2010
Join children’s musician Magic Mama as she performs Organic Hip Hop music and World Beats for children of all ages up through fifth grade at the Joplin Public Library on Thursday, July 22. Magic Mama is an eco-edu-tainer who specializes in music, art and environmental education. Her environmental message is right on track with the 2010 Children’s Summer Reading Club’s theme, Make a Splash @ Your Library, and it is through her music that Magic Mama strives to deliver an empowering and hope-filled message of love and respect for all and inspire creative thinking and Earth-Friendly actions.
Magic Mama is known for her colorful set designs and the ability to use her clever, lively music to provide a fun, positive atmosphere for audience members. Though she is usually busy entertaining audiences across the country, Magic Mama can be found growing organic food and wildflowers, home schooling her two children, sewing CAT HATS, making art and playing music in her downtime.
Magic Mama will perform back-to-back shows in the library’s Large Meeting Room during her visit, with the first starting promptly at 2:30 p.m. and a repeat performance taking place at 3:30 p.m.
