REMINDER – Music in the Park kicks off this Sunday, June 27th

Starting this Sunday, June 27th, the City of Joplin Parks and Recreation will begin the “Music in the Park” series for area residents. Beneath the Surface will perform at 6 p.m. at the amphitheater in Landreth Park. Beneath the Surface, a local band, is known for their classic rock renditions, particularly performing covers of Heart, Led Zepplin, Tom Petty, and the B-52s.
The 2010 Concert Series will be held on the second and fourth Sundays of each month through August at the Landreth Park Amphitheater. This free event will offer a variety of local bands and performers for the enjoyment of the public. Music ranges from classic rock, contemporary Christian to country.
Other bands performing for the series include The Crowder Jazz Orchestra on July 11th, oFFSET sUNSET on July 25th, Diversity Band on August 8th, and closing band Borderline on August 22nd.
