Council Meeting rescheduled due to Independence Day holiday

The Joplin City Council meeting scheduled for the first Monday of July will be held on Tuesday, July 6th due to the Independence Day holiday. This year, the holiday falls on a Sunday, and City offices will be closed on Monday, July 5th as the official observance of the holiday.
The rescheduled meeting will begin at 6 p.m. and will be held in the Council Chambers on 5th floor of City Hall, 602 South Main.
KGCS-TV, Missouri Southern State University’s television station, will broadcast the meeting live and will offer a re-broadcast at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 7th.
KGCS-TV can be found on broadcast channel 22. If viewers subscribe to CableOne, KGCS can be viewed on cable channel 7, and if subscribers to MediaCom, the station can be found on cable channel 77.
